Laura Potter - Ceramics

Pottery buttons, badges and pendants.

Laura makes colourful pottery items such as buttons, badges and pendants at her home studio in Suffolk. She usually work in earthenware, which gives her the choice of using bright coloured glazes.  Laura's buttons are especially popular with people who crochet and knit their own items of clothing, as they add that finishing detail that is difficult to achieve on your own. People also buy them to customise their coats, bags or knitwear, adding individuality to high street fashion.

As well as her core range of small items which are available on Suffolk Made Laura also make hand-built bottles and beakers.

Laura trained in ceramics while studying for a Fine Art BA at Canterbury Christ Church University graduating in 1999. She have lived in Suffolk since 2000 and she has been working from her studio in Tunstall since 2009. Laura is a member of the Anglian Potters group with whom she exhibits annually.
