Anna Chatburn - Accessories

Bags for Life and hair accessories.Anna Chatburn

Anna was taught her seamstress ways by her Mother and Grandmother. After lots of perseverance, practise and experimenting, she came up with her own brand, Anna Sparkles.

The sparkles style draws on the heritage of Britain, with Anna's own take on preppy tailoring, making her creations something a little bit different. She upcycles luxury, vintage fabrics into one off whimsical bags and accessories. Her bags are fully lined and embellished with bows, kookie machine embroidery, and things that sparkle.

'My bag designs are really simple tote bags although I am currently working on a satchel design so watch this space.  My mother and my grandmother taught me the basics of dressmaking and I have really just taught myself along the way; as I really love doing it. I did have some sewing lessons with a real life Hollywood seamstress (a friend of a friend) and she taught me a few tricks of the trade. Monday to Friday you'll find me on the commute train to London, making things, so I suppose that makes me a little bit of a novelty...I get some funny looks with my sewing kit instead of the FT!!'
